What's Sweeter Than Kandi?

It's not often I get a chance to do any posts over the weekend but once I saw the colorful & artistic
photo's from MUA/hair stylist Kandi it was a no brainier to conduct her interview immediately. Still fairly
new to the modeling world, Kandi's curvy & canvas of an art body has put her in high demand already,
giving her a lane to do 100mph towards the road of success.
Have you ever been nervous before a shoot?
I've been nervous before a shoot plenty of times! My first shoot
was with Ryan 'RJO' O'Connor & my boyfriend came with me. I was
so geeked to do the shoot, but as soon as I got in front of the camera
I froze up & my boyfriend had to tell me which poses to do.
What is your background?
I'm 100% African American from head to toe. Hair naturally nappy
& caramel skin covered in colorful tatts!
How long have you been modeling & is it more so a passion or fun hobby?
I've been modeling for about 3 years now & I love it! Now that I have tattoos I'm getting even
more attention & work. Modeling for me started out as a hobby, but the more I do it, the more
passionate I become about it & I just wanna do more & more!
What do you feel your best asset is?
Real talk, my best asset is my personality! I say that because I got the body, I know this
& everybody whose seen me knows this, but my personality is so bubbly that you can't help
but tune in to what it is I'm saying or doing.
What do you like most about modeling & what is one of your pet peeves
that you would like to change about the stigma of the modeling industry.
What I love most about modeling is photo shoots & seeing the finished product.
But honestly a lot of these photographers are garbage & need to rethink their line of work.
I wouldn't let them pay me to shoot me. My biggest pet peeve is being contacted by
a photographer to do a collabo & then they tell me to view their work which is a bunch
of hood ass photos with internet magazine logos pasted on them.
Do you go by your govt name or socialite(entertainment) name and how did it come about?
I go by my government name which is Kandi. Plus what's sweeter than Kandi? But I also go by my socialite
name which is Nina
What type of influence or wow factor do you aim at when doing shoots?
When it comes to choosing who I'd like to work with, I look for nice and clean work. I wanna see
photos that look publishable lol.
What can the world expect to see from you in the near future?
The world can expect great things from me, I wanna color the world one tattoo at a time!
